Our Pastor Reverend Gwendolyn G. Green
Reverend Gwendolyn Green, now serves as Overseer of St. John Baptist Church in Bluffton SC since 2005.
She received a BA degree in Divinity Studies from the school of Ekklesia in Hardeeville SC and received her Ordination and Seminary certification from The Southern Gospel of Accreditation in Georgia. As a strategic thinker with strong organizing skills and a commitment to service. Pastor Gwendolyn Green has always sphered projects that assist others to finding resources that would help women to seek new insight into today's complexity with Ministry challenges. She is a two time recipient of the Town of Bluffton Humanitarian award in 2009 and 2016 for her positive involvement to help improve to bridging the gap between school, community, and church. She is compassionate about the well- being of young people. Her specialty is working with at risk youth. Pastor Green uses her own real- life challenges as a platform for imparting and motivating other to a higher level of performance. She served seven years as Youth Pastor at Family Worship Center in Yemassee, SC. under the leadership of Overseer Jeanette Harley. In her spare time Pastor Green love painting. She is known for her historical Gullah folk art which many have been sold and some is still on display in local art galleries. |
